Orlando Pirates dominate out combined Soweto Derby XI which won’t please Kaizer Chiefs fans all that much. Which three Glamour Boys made the cut?
CHIEFS vs PIRATES: Our BOLD prediction
ICYMI: Kaizer Chiefs got 99 problems, and Monnapule Saleng is one of them
Chaine; Monyane, Sibisi, Xoki, Hlanti; Timm, Maart; Saleng, Shabalala, Hotto; Dzvukamanja
Terrence Dzvukamanja got the day off against Royal AM recently but he did score in each of his previous two PSL matches. The Orlando Pirates marksman is the player in form and has to lead the line in our Soweto Derby combined XI.
AMAKHOSI vs BUCS: A Derby stat you won’t believe
Yusuf Maart’s recent heroics against Pirates, along with his increasing importance to the Amakhosi cause, means he’s one of three Glamour Boys in the side. It was a tough choice between in-form attacking midfielder Kabelo Dlamini and Mduduzi Shabalala for the number 10 spot, but we went witth Mdu because of the extra flair and flamboyance in his boots. At left-back, Sifiso Hlanti is a more dependable and experienced option than Bucs counterpart Paseka Mako.
So, that’s THREE Kaizer Chiefs players and EIGHT from Orlando Pirates making up the combined XI. Where have we gotten it wrong and where have we got it right?
