Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly come out second best in yet another transfer race.

According to the latest reports, Amakhosi target Sanele Barns has agreed to join Stellenbosch next season!

The 26-year-old Richards Bay winger scored seven goals while registering nine assists in 45 appearances for Bay.

He’s expected to join Stellenbosch at the end of the season after reaching an agreement with the Cape outfit.

Kaizer Chiefs target signs for Stellenbosch!

“As it stands now I can tell you that Stellenbosch have agreed a deal, which will be effective from July this year,” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“They have agreed on a long term deal though, all the details will be finalised when he starts training with the team in the off season.

“Yes, Kaizer Chiefs were interested in him. They wanted him at the beginning of the season and also in January, but they were not in a hurry. And so Stellenbosch were serious and apparently offered him a pre-contract.”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs FC’s management are reportedly closely monitoring TS Galaxy star Lehlohonolo Mojela.

The 27-year-old winger has been a revelation for Sead Ramovic’s Galaxy this season.

In his maiden season at the club, Mojela has scored four goals while assisting one more in the opening half of the season.

And now, his rich form is reportedly attracting serious attention from Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs!

Amakhosi keen on signing Galaxy star Mojela

“It’s unfortunate they could not get him last season when he was still at Casric Stars. They inquired about him even at that time after playing against Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup,” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“Kaizer Chiefs started talking to the club, but it didn’t go far. They are serious about him.

“Let’s wait and see what Galaxy will say. He hasn’t even spent a full season there but players move in football, and anything is possible.”

Mojela is undoubtedly one of the finds of the season. Do you want to see him at Kaizer Chiefs next season? Let us know in the comments section.
