Rumoured Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns target Shandre Campbell has done it again. The SuperSport winger scored a brace to send his side into the quarter-finals of the Nedbank Cup.

Campbell has South Africa’s elite on red alert

18-year-old Shandre Campbell is one of the most coveted youngsters in the country right now. His match-winning brace against Richards Bay only serves to enhance his growing reputation in the country’s top flight.

WHO IS REPORTED KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET SHANDRE CAMPBELL?

Campbell is primarily a left-winger but can operate on the other flank or as a second striker. Born in July 2005, he’s still just 18 and one for the future, but the present looks quite promising too. He’s slowly becoming one of the hottest properties in the South African Premier Division. Former Bucs star Benedict Vilakazi has urged Kaizer Chiefs to make a move for Campbell before champions Sundowns swoop in for the talented teen. Will the Glamour Boys heed his advice? Amakhosi, of course, were dumped out of this season’s Nedbank Cup by Milford FC.

CHIEFS TO RELEASE UNDERPERFORMING TRIO

According to the Citizen, talented utility midfielder George Matlou has struggled to have an impact with the Glamour Boys since moving there from Soweto rivals Swallows. Soccer Laduma believes that Happy Mashiane is leaving because of a lack of first-team minutes, and they’re also categorical about Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez’s imminent exit. The 24-year-old former Real Santa Cruz man has yet to break his goal-scoring duck for the Glamour Boys and will return after his loan spell at the end of June.
