Springboks captain Siya Kolisi, who now plays for Paris-based rugby team Racing 92, returned to South Africa, revealed by an Instagram Story on Tuesday, 30 April.

The father of two, Siya Kolisi, has returned to South Africa after moving to Paris, France, to join Paris-based rugby team Racing 92. As seen in an Instagram Story, Siya touched down at Cape Town International Airport just after 14:00 on Tuesday, 30 April. “Run up the numbers, and gather the facts – we’re the youngest up next, my team is the best 😇. What an honour ❤️🙏🏽 Thank you God,” read the caption.

It is unclear why Siya is in South Africa at the moment.

Siya’s trip to Cape Town comes about two weeks after his wife, Rachel, visited the city. The pair have two children together – Nicholas (9) and Keziah (6). The family of four relocated to Paris, France ahead of Siya joining Racing 92. Rachel was in Cape Town for a Finding the Light Foundation event at the Artscape Theatre Centre in Foreshore, Cape Town. The event was in support of the Kolisi Foundation.

While in Cape Town, she reunited with Siya’s siblings – Liphelo and Liyema. Take a look…

“Reunited for the @findingthelightfoundation event at the @artscapetheatre last night, all in support of the @kolisi_foundation night 1 was SO FUN! You’re in for a treat if you’re going! Ps. Typos and Teenagers aren’t a good mix 😂,” read the caption.

The Kolisi Foundation was founded by Siya and Rachel in March 2020. The vision is to change the stories of inequality in South Africa, to see thriving communities.

Siya shares a mother with his two siblings – Liyema and Liphelo. Tragically, Siya’s mom passed away in 2009. According to Two Ocean’s Vibe, Liyema and Liphelo’s father also passed away and they were out of touch with their big brother. This left his two siblings bouncing from orphanages to foster homes for years before Siya and Rachel were financially stable enough to adopt them in 2014.

According to Kaya FM, Siya found his siblings in foster care in Zwide – a township in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
