In previous weeks, Chiefs were linked to the signing of Congolese midfielder Fabrice Ngoma, as well as Tatenda Tavengwa , a Zimbabwean who plays for Venda FA.

Ngoma was an obvious link for Chiefs, having previously been of interest to the club. The events of him terminating his deal at Sudanese giants Al Hilal, straight after links of a move to Amakhosi resurfaced, made things more suspicious. Now while an approach was thought to be unlikely to be made for the player, since rumours quickly claimed that he was in fact,close to joining Yanga SC, it seems the Glamour Boys had not given up on the race, nor did they shut shop on the idea of the deal happening.

This was due to a report last month that stated Chiefs were still interested in the player and that the player himself had declared his preference to come to South Africa and be part of the Love and Peace outfit. It is believed that his agent offered his services to the club, but things went quiet, which could only mean that there was movement between the two parties on a potential deal. (acatimes.com)

It is then, perhaps no surprise that Ngoma is believed to be on his way to Yanga’s rivals Simba SC, which would mean Chiefs would’ve missed out on his services twice.
