According to the latest reports from Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs are now ahead of Pirates in the race for Bafana Bafana star Appollis and AFCON-bound Namibia left-back Riaan Hanamub of AmaZulu. Hanamub was a long-term target for the Buccaneers but Chiefs are now leading the race to sign a man they see as a perfect replacement for Sifiso Hlanti. The same is true of coveted Polokwane City star Appollis.

“There has not been much activity in the transfer market since the window opened at the beginning of the year, but Siya sources have indicated that behind the scenes, Kaizer Chiefs have been very busy. Indications are that the club are in a race to beat arch-rivals Orlando Pirates to the services of rising star Oswin Appollis as well as to the signature of Namibian international Riaan Hanamub,” their source said.
