Maritzburg United may have been relegated from the DStv Premiership last season, but it seems like certain players have done enough to attract topflight clubs. One of those players is Human, with links initially surfacing two months ago, of Chiefs interest in the player. Pirates then joined the chase for Human, and this publication also reported that, they were in talks with Maritzburg to do a double deal for both the 22-year-old and his partner in crime Karim Kimvuidi. On top of that, he revealed that he is in constant contact with the club vice-captain Keagan Dolly who hails from his neighbourhood.

Now according to Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs are now favourites to sign Human from Maritzburg over arch-rivals Pirates.

Chiefs take lead in Human race

“Insiders have explained that the Soweto giants (Chiefs) are leading the race with a high possibility of Human playing his football under Molefi Ntseki, a coach whom he worked with in the junior national team ranks” the publication wrote.

The publication also notes, however, that Chiefs face stern competition for Human, with the likes of SuperSport United and Sekhukhune United eyeing the youngster. A move to SuperSport would see the player reunite with Gavin Hunt, the man who gave him his professional debut.
