With yesterday’s news, it was expected that he would stay and face more competition from an incoming Mhango. But in a rather sudden and shocking turn of events, Chiefs team manager Bobby Motaung came out to the media and denied reports that the club were looking to sign the former Pirates player. The player’s agent then came out saying that the player was negotiating his exit from AmaZulu and although there has been nothing signed with Amakhosi, they’re one of the clubs the player has been offered to.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Ntseki did not name drop either of Cele or Mhango but opened up what is to be expected from Chiefs for the rest of the transfer window.

“We’re giving confidence to the players we have – yes everyone will have the interest to come and be part of Kaizer Chiefs and also in terms of our recruitment and scouting, we’ll always be looking at quality players that can come and join the club. The window is open until 1 September and I think we’ll play 10 games before the window closes, and as of now we’re happy with the squad we’ve recruited and obviously, if ever there will be a need to beef up the squad, we’ll do that, But remember at the beginning of the season, all that we have, will be given a chance and we’ll also be profiling them accordingly – we’re just hoping that we’ll hit the ground running and we get a good performance from all of them in the team.” Said Ntseki as per iDiskiTimes.
