Ngcobo hasn’t been featuring consistently for Chiefs despite being one of the fan-favourites as the technical team prefers to use him sparingly.

Ngcobo is more of a playmaker and doesn’t actually have the energy to fight for the ball, said Zwane who then said that’s why he hasn’t been used too much at Chiefs.

Zwane further revealed that had he started Ngcobo against Maritzburg United where he scored Amakhosi’s second goal from the bench, then he wasn’t going to effective.

And that’s because he stretched himself in the 70 minutes that he played against Royal AM in the previous game.

NGCOBO CAN’T FIGHT FOR THE BALL – ZWANE

A player of Nkosingiphile Ngcobo’s calibre, it depends on when you use him and the approach of the opposition is to when you need him in the game.

He’s not a player that can fight for the ball. He doesn’t have that energy to fight for the ball but he’s more of a playmaker.

As you can see, when we needed him and he came to the party. He was the one who gave us that security goal.

He’s a player that can swing the game in your favour because he’s got game intelligence – he’s a very smart player.

Knowing that we’ve used him in the past two games… he played 70 minutes against Royal AM. So, we knew that for this game, if we had to start him he wasn’t going to be that effective.

So, we started him on the bench so that he can be one of our impact players.
