KAIZER CHIEFS LEGEND WILLARD KATSANDE RECOMMENDS TRANSFER SIGNING

First it was Tinashe Nengomasha for a decade before Kastande took over the following one.

Following reports that the Glamour Boys are considering to sign Tatenda Tavengwa from Venda Football Academy (VFA), Katsande has nothing but encouragement for the 26-year-old former Caps United midfielder.

According to ‘Salt n Peper,’ the number 6 position perhaps belongs to Zimbabwean players.

“Obviously I’m happy for Tavengwa. It’s not easy to be recognised by a team like Kaizer Chiefs,” Katsande told H-Metro, as quoted by FARPost.

“That role has been reserved for Zimbabweans at Kaizer Chiefs. And I’m not sure how close is the deal, but I would urge him to do more than what we did with Nengomasha.

“He should not be limited because once the deal materialises, he has us to get all the information he wants to survive. I wouldn’t want to instruct him to play the way we played at Chiefs.

“He has to bring a new dimension to the table. Chances are high that he will succeed at Amakhosi because he has us to bank on,” Katsande concluded.

AMAKHOSI POCKET MILLIONS FROM SIYABONGA NGEZANA DEAL

After a fine season in Chiefs’ central defence and right-back, Siyabonga Ngezana has earned himself a move to FCSB in Romania. How much did the European giants pay for the Sebokeng-born defender?

“Kaizer Chiefs bid farewell to defender, Siyabonga Ngezana, who has signed for Romanian Lige 1 powerhouse, Fotbal Club FCSB, formerly known as Steaua Bucharesti,” the Soweto giants reported.

“There is always a tinge of sadness when a player who has risen through the ranks here leaves the Club,” Amakhosi’s Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr, said.

“However, Siya has had a good and substantial career at Kaizer Chiefs and feels the time is right to take up a new challenge. We appreciate his wholehearted commitment to Amakhosi and wish him well on his exciting adventure to Europe,” Kaizer Jnr concluded.

According to iDiski Times, the Sebokeng-born player’s move is a five-year deal worth R12 million.

“Siyabgonga Ngezana has signed a five-year deal with FCSB after they agreed a €600,000 (R12m) transfer fee with Kaizer Chiefs, iDiski Times has learnt,” the outlet reported.
