KAIZER CHIEFS DECIDE AGAINST MMODI PURSUIT?

Remember when the reported deal of Mmodi to Amakhosi looked almost done and dusted? It now sounds like things have changed.

If this latest report is anything to go by, the Glamour Boys have made signing the 29-year-old attacking midfielder a low-priority task.

“According to an impeccable source within the Kaizer Chiefs camp, Pule Mmodi is not the club’s priority target,” Soccer Laduma reported in their latest edition.

“The Glamour Boys have been in discussions with Golden Arrows over the player’s services because the KwaZulu Natal outfit want to sell the Bafana Bafana international to avoid him leaving for free a year from now,” the report added.

Having signed eight players in defence, midfield, and wide areas, the Glamour Boys are yet to replace Samir Nurkovic and Leonardo Castro, as Ashley Du Preez is not a traditional center forward.

“The Soweto giants are determined to address their shortage up front before signing another wide player,” the report added.

Meanwhile, Chiefs remain linked with Royal AM’s Victor Letsoalo as well as two strikers from West Africa.
