Ex-Chiefs defenders find work in Limpopo

Finding employment isn’t always easy, even if you’ve played for Kaizer Chiefs. Two former players are smiling right now.

A pair of former Kaizer Chiefs defenders are starting a new challenge with big dreams in Bochum, Limpopo.

FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYERS JOIN THE DOLPHINS

According to a new report, Mokete Tsotetsi and Punch Masenamela have joined ABC Motsepe side The Dolphins – and the project is to lift the club to the Premier Soccer League.

Tsotetsi (40), will be the head coach while the 36-year-old Masenamela will deliver duties as an assistant.

Asked about the duo’s contract details, the club’s General Manager, Eric Lehong, said the agreements are season-based.

“In the ABC Motsepe league, we don’t work with contracts, but we work with performances and review at the end of the season,” Lehong told Tshepo Msimango.

In other news, one of Mzansi’s leading fitness trainers, Simone Conley, has revealed how she nearly moved to Chiefs.

Following success at Highlands Park, Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns, Conley became a wanted woman before making a big financial move to Saudi Arabia’s women’s side Al-Ittihad in July.

In addition to AmaZulu’s contact, the highly-rated conditioning coach revealed that she was once on the brink of joining Amakhosi.

“I also did get a call from Kaizer Motaung Jr. and he basically told me that look, they want me as part of the team. I went there and did a presentation,” Conley told iDiski Times’ Lethabo Kganyago.

“They offered me the job, and for some reason, they retracted that two weeks later and went with someone else (chuckles).

“Yeah, they opted for someone else. But I mean it was meant to be, otherwise I wouldn’t be sitting where I am right now and I wouldn’t be going where I am right now,” she added.
