Kaizer Chiefs legend issues golden money advice to footballers

A former Kaizer Chiefs star has urged the current crop of footballers not to neglect business opportunities available to them ‘online’

Football is indeed a short career and former Kaizer Chiefs star Reneilwe Letsholonyane has issued some golden advice to the current generation of players.

‘Yeye’ has urged players to make full use of their current opportunity and build a social brand of themselves while playing football.

The former Amakhosi star believes a strong social media presence can open up a healthy income stream for footballers post retirement, but it all starts on the field of play.

“You perform on your job, which is football in this case, and then you will get followers. Once you get followers, you will get brands that want to be associated with you.” Reneilwe Letsholonyane told iDiskiTimes.

“So I’m saying to current players, our footballers should really, really take care of themselves [on the field], take care of what brings them money, that’s football and that’s all we know most of us.”

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs and Swallows defender Yagan Sasman has completed a move to Swedish second tier side AFC Eskilstuna.

Sasman joined the Glamour Boys after impressing at Ajax Cape Town (Now Cape Town Spurs) in 2019.

After a two year spell at Naturena, Sasman went on to join Swallows where he came a regular player at the club.

The 27-year-old defender has since completed a move to Europe!

Ex Chiefs and Swallows defender moves to Europe

AFC Eskilstuna have completed the signing of Yagan Sasman on a free transfer. Sasman parted ways with Swallows at the end of last season.
