Chatting to the media ahead of the game, Katsande believes Chiefs’ 2-1 loss to Swallows last weekend has no bearing on what will happen on Saturday; the event is just so unpredictable.

“It’s crazy that people think losing a game before the derby means Chiefs will win,” Katsande told The Sowetan.

“I think it has been coincidental. The reason Chiefs wake up in the Soweto derby is that those games are unpredictable and current form counts for nothing.

“There’s a lot at stake and the players know that they are not only playing for themselves but for millions of fans, so it can always go either way,” the former Chiefs number six concluded.
