Kaizer Chiefs’ new defensive midfield cog, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, has embraced comparison with this former Chelsea superstar.

Most players, especially at Kaizer Chiefs, will deny similarities with other players on a higher level, but Sibongiseni Mthethwa is different.

Speaking to Diski Times since his move from Stellenbosch FC to Amakhosi in August, the 29-year-old simply said he does play his football like the former Chelsea midfielder Kante, but also has his own ways.
“All I can say is, I can see myself as that type of player,” Mthethwa told Diski Times.

“Because the way N’Golo Kante plays, he plays with energy, aggression, everything is there.
“So I always use those strengths of mine for me to play like him. But the thing is, I always play my style,” Mthethwa added.
