Ex-Chiefs star making R24 million a year – 8 September

A new generation has moved to America. They follow the former Kaizer Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe, who is living rather well in the States.

First, it was Bongokuhle Hlongwane moving from Maritzburg United to Minnesota United, followed by Njabulo Blom to St. Louis, Olwethu Makhanya from Stellebosch FC to Philadelphia Union before Cassius Mailula left Mamelodi Sundowns for Toronto FC.

With moves to the MLS come a number of career and life opportunities, especially the financial side of it.

FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS DEFENDER MAKING BIG MONEY ABROAD

Following the public release of player earnings in the American Major Soccer League, the former Chiefs defender, Teenage Hadebe, caught some attention.

According to the report, as shared by iDiskiTimes’ Lorenz Kohler, the 27-year-old Hadebe is on R2.1 million per month at Houston Dynamo.

“Chiefs defender Teenage Hadebe earns $1,122,900 (R21.7 million) in base salary and $1,288,077 (R24.9 million) in guaranteed compensation per annum at Houston Dynamo,” the report said.

“His monthly salary calculates to a massive R2.1 million.” This also means that Hadebe is on R24 million a year.
