KAIZER CHIEFS SIGN SIYETHEMBA SITHEBE

As The South African has previously reported, the 31-year-old Sithebe, who hails from KwaZulu Natal’s Newcastle, joined Chiefs from AmaZulu in July 2022.

However, the dreadlocked star has only made one league appearance in this 2023/24 term.

According to the latest report, Amakhosi will not renew the former Mbombela United player’s contract when it runs out in June. “Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siyethemba Sithebe looks set to leave the club at the end of the season when his contract expires,” reported iDiskiTimes on page three of the latest digital newspaper edition.

BRUCE BVUMA NEW DEAL

In related news, Chiefs’ goalkeeper Bvuma has been offered some great news.

It was around October last year when Bvuma was linked with an exit. However, the dismal form of Brandon Petersen and Itumeleng Khune’s ill-discipline gifted Bvuma a golden chance. The 28-year-old Bvuna took the chance with both hands. Bvuma, originally from Leratong, Gauteng, went on to contribute to three straight clean sheets before the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2023 got in the way.

According to a new report, the Naturena Academy graduate is moments away from signing a new deal extension.

“Kaizer Chiefs are looking to extend the contract of Bruce Bvuma after his stellar performances in the last few DStv Premiership games before the break,” iDiskiTimes’ Sinethemba Makonco reported.

“iDiski Times understands that Chiefs have tabled a new two-year deal for the shot-stopper, as they look to tie him down to avoid losing him on a free transfer, as he is in the last six months of his current contract. A new contract that has been tabled is until June 2026,” the report concluded.
