Lungile Nkosi has been invited to train with Chiefs’ first team.

Furthermore, the lanky 20-year-old has been tipped for big things at Naturena.

CHIEFS INVITE YOUNGSTER TO TRAIN WITH FIRST TEAM

Academy goalkeeper, Nkosi, was spotted training with Amakhosi.

Therefore, he is the newest face recently spotted training with the Soweto giants.

In fact, he is being groomed to replace Amakhosi legend, Itumeleng Khune in the future.

“Lanky 20-year-old Lungile Nkosi is the man Chiefs are believed to be looking at, to fill Khune’s gloves in the future,” the report read on SoccerLaduma

So, don’t be surprised to see him earn promotion into the first team.

Especially, with Khune likely to hang up his boots (and gloves) at the end of the 2023/24 season. Moreover, the Amakhosi legend has been earmarked to take up a coaching position at Naturena.

AMAKHOSI KEEPERS POSITIONS UNDER JEOPARDY

Brandon Peterson is the established first choice. Meanwhile, Khune is his back-up.

Now, with Nkosi called up to train with the first team the likes of Bruce Bvuma and Karabo Molefe’s positions could be under further jeopardy. Bvuma has hardly featured in the past two seasons whilst Molefi is yet to make his senior debut for Chiefs.
