Kaizer Chiefs take major decision on Khune’s future at Naturena

Kaizer Chiefs have taken a major decision on one of the club’s only remaining legends ahead of an important upcoming season

Itumeleng Khune will remain a Kaizer Chiefs for the remainder of next season.

The Glamour Boys confirmed that their legendary goalkeeper has extended his contract at the club by one more year!

While Khune remains a Glamour Boy, he will be given the freedom to transition into a coaching role at the the club ahead of the following season!

Kaizer Chiefs extend Itumeleng Khune’s contract

“Kaizer Chiefs’ longest serving player and Club captain, Itumeleng Khune, has been handed a new contract which will see him play for Amakhosi for one final season, taking his professional career to two decades.” a club statement read.

“While Khune will be involved in training and preparations for matches as a player, he will also use this year to broaden his technical acumen, as he transitions into a new coaching and ambassadorial role working with the marketing division at the Club. ”

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Dumisani Zuma looks set to be a free agent once again.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic star was released by Chiefs at the end of last season due to reported disciplinary issues.
