Kaizer Chiefs fans are seriously divided and have aired their views as they reacted to defender Sifiso Hlanti who has renewed his contract.
Despite facing an uncertain future at Chiefs, the seasoned defender Hlanti has been rewarded with a new contract extension at Naturena.

The veteran left-back, Hlanti will stay at Chiefs and will look to impress coach Molefi Ntseki and his technical bench as they look to end the undesired trophy drought next season.
Chiefs announced the news of the developments in a statement and the fans have expressed contrasting reactions to the news.
CHIEFS REWARD HLANTI WITH A ONE-YEAR CONTRACT
In addition, the Soweto bigshots broke the news via social media on Friday morning that the 33-year-old’s contract also has an option for a further year.

The former Bafana Bafana defender, Hlanti faced a number of injury setbacks in the last few seasons under ex-manager Arthur Zwane.

However, he fought his way back from a career-threatening injury in the 2021/22 season and has seemingly impressed the management and the technical team.
“We are happy that we have agreed on this contract extension with S’fiso. He is an important member of the team, given his experience and ability,” said Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr.
“We look forward to his continued hard work and sharing of his knowledge with the young players we have in the team.”

The digital community, particularly Chiefs fans didn’t hesitate to react to the news of the former AmaZulu and Bidvest Wits defender, Hlanti’s renewed contract.
Some people feel the club took a good decision to keep the talented Hlanti but there are some who argue otherwise. At the same time, some said Chiefs are smaller than Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
