Kaizer Chiefs to fsce Tshwane giants back to back.

After a tough outing in East London where they lost 2-0 to Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs faces tough away fixtures.

Amakhosi are away to struggling Richards Bay on Sunday afternoon at the King Zwelithini Stadium.  This encounter was previously scheduled for Saturday but has since been moved to Sunday afternoon by the PSL.

Amakhosi played Chippa United away just days after the death of their defender Luke Fleurs. The 24-year-old was shot and killed during a hijacking in Johannesburg two weeks ago. Kaizer Chiefs honoured the fixture and played the Chilli Boys.

Coach Cavin Johnson and his team know the importance of performing well in Sunday’s league game. They need to avoid dropping out of the top eight pack and have a chance to move higher. However, the game is equally critical for their opponents, who are fighting to avoid automatic relegation or play-offs at the end of the season.

Kaizer Chiefs have three tricky PSL fixtures ahead

Currently, Amakhosi occupies the eighth spot on the log with 30 points after 23 games, while the Natal Rich Boyz are second from the bottom with 17 points after 23 matches.

Aside from Richards Bay, Kaizer Chiefs’ next two fixtures are tough games. They host both Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United back to back. Amakhosi have struggled to beat Tshwane teams for years and having to play them towards the end of the season could seal their fate.

Chiefs are now in a battle for top eight finish

With Richards Bay desperate for points, the Natal Rich Boys might pick up their fifth win against the Mighty Kaizer Chiefs in their next fixture. Cavin Johnson’s team may collect zero points from their next three games if form is to be taken into account.
