A former Kaizer Chiefs star is desperate to return to the PSL however, this time around he’s looking to shine in a coaching position!

Kaizer Chiefs legend Reneilwe Letsholonyane has opened up on his absence from the limelight since retiring from professional soccer.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane, or more fondly known as ‘Yeye’, retired from soccer at the end of last season after a sterling career that spanned over two decades.

The Kaizer Chiefs legend confirmed that he has now turned to coaching and is currently in charge of his former youth team in Soweto, Pimville Young Stars.

“I’m done with playing, I’m a coach of the team I grew up playing for, Pimville Young Stars. Any offer that comes my way must be a coaching job.” the former Amakhosi midfielder told SundayWorld.

‘Yeye’ eyeing PSL return, as a coach!

The intelligent midfielder is rumoured to be eyeing a return to the PSL albeit in a coaching role this time around!

“It is true, Yeye is coaching Pimville Young Stars. It is an amateur club which is popular in Soweto,” a source told SoccerLaduma last year regarding the ex Kaizer Chiefs star.

“The guy is very passionate about football, and he still wants to go for more coaching badges to add to the ones that he has already acquired. He would love to see himself back in the PSL one day, as a coach to give back to the game.”

Yeye joined the Amakhosi in 2008 before going on to amass 183 highly successful appearances in all competitions for the Glamour Boys.

The Bafana Bafana international formed a pivotal part of Stuart Baxter’s two time league winning Kaizer Chiefs side.

He then left Kaizer Chiefs in 2016 before joining former head coach Stuart Baxter at SuperSport United.

At various stages of his career he also enjoyed stints at Hellenic, Dangerous Darkies, PJ Stars, Jomo Cosmos, Highlands Park and TS Galaxy. In addition, Reneilwe Letsholonyane has 50 Bafana Bafana caps to his name.
