Kaizer Chiefs legend Nelson ‘Teenage’ Dladla has opened up on the club’s current shambolic state.

The Glamour Boys were dumped out of the Nedbank Cup last weekend at the hands of minnows Milford FC.

Their shock Nedbank Cup exit means the Amakhosi’s trophy drought will likely extend to over 10 years!

According to the former Amakhosi midfield maestro, the current club are far from the real ‘Chiefs’!

This is not my Kaizer Chiefs – Teenage Dladla

“Yoh, you know, I don’t know how to put it but it’s saddening, painful. Eight years without a trophy a team like Kaizer Chiefs no ways, no ways, no ways.” Dladla told the Karabo Phasha YouTube podcast as quoted by SoccerLaduma.

“Sometimes, they come to me: ‘ja, ja that Chiefs’ and I say ‘you are beating this Chiefs not my Chiefs’ (who he was playing for in the past), okay?”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs FC’s management are reportedly closely monitoring TS Galaxy star Lehlohonolo Mojela.

The 27-year-old winger has been a revelation for Sead Ramovic’s Galaxy this season.

In his maiden season at the club, Mojela has scored four goals while assisting one more in the opening half of the season.

And now, his rich form is reportedly attracting serious attention from Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs!

Amakhosi keen on signing Galaxy star Mojela

“It’s unfortunate they could not get him last season when he was still at Casric Stars. They inquired about him even at that time after playing against Casric Stars in the Nedbank Cup.” an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“Kaizer Chiefs started talking to the club but it didn’t go far. They are serious about him.

“Let’s wait and see what Galaxy will say. He hasn’t even spent a full season there but players move in football and anything is possible.”

Mojela is undoubtedly one of the finds of the season. Do you want to see him at Kaizer Chiefs next season? Let us know in the comments section.
