Kaizer Chiefs latest | Potential signing leaves Naturena, deal in jeopardy?

Sao Tome & Principe defender Jardel Nazare has stopped training with Kaizer Chiefs after spending two weeks at the club’s headquarters in Naturena.

According to KickOff Nazare has returned to Portugal following the sacking of Gavin Hunt on Friday.

However, what his departure means is still unclear at this stage, especially after it was reported that he already had his medicals with Chiefs.

Talks of a possible deal had also been reported with several media houses claiming that Nazare and Chiefs were close to agreeing terms.

But with a new coach, expected to be Stuart Baxter, set to be appointed in the next few days, Nazare’s chances of a possible deal with Chiefs could be in jeopardy.

Baxter could prefer a different player to Nazare for the left-back position at Chiefs as soon as his appointment is confirmed.

As things stand, Chiefs have players such as Yagan Sasman, Philani Zulu, and Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya as their left-backs.
