Huge return for Kaizer Chiefs star spotted training at Naturena

Kaizer Chiefs returned to training ahead of the return of the second half of the DStv Premiership and there was a very special Amakhosi star spotted back at Naturena.

Kaizer Chiefs returned to training ahead of the return of the second half of the DStv Premiership and there was a very special Amakhosi star spotted back at Naturena.

Itumeleng Khune was spotted back at training with Amakhosi in Naturena earlier on Thursday, according to iDiskiTimes.

Amakhosi’s captain unfortunately missed both Soweto derbies and several PSL encounters due to injury. However, he is now finally back in training and was spotted practicing with the side moments ago.

Arthur Zwane welcomed back his captain as Khune was spotted training with Amakhosi earlier today.

However, It is unclear if he will be fit in time for the DStv Premiership encounter between Chiefs and Golden Arrows on 30 December 2022.

WILL KHUNE RETURN IN TIME FOR PSL RETURN?

Therefore, Amakhosi fans face an anxious wait for the return of their captain.

However, the good news is that he is back in training and is on his way back to a full return.

Khune has been out of action since Amakhosi’s PSL encounter against Stellenbosch FC on 9 October 2022.

Since than, he missed the next four P matches, both Soweto derbies against Pirates (in the DStv Premiership and Carling Black Label Cup) as well as their decisive and costly second leg against AmaZulu in the MTN8 semi-final.

It is clear that they missed Khune as Amakhosi lost to the Bucs 6-5 on penalties in their Carling Black Label Cup semi final match where Khune could certainly have made a difference.

Although this is never guaranteed, Amakhosi’s captain is known for his expertise, experience and heroics from the penalty spot.

Chiefs returned to training on Thursday, 1 December as they prepare for the return of the DStv Premiership.

It will officially return on 30 December 2022 with Amakhosi set to take on eThekwini-based rivals, Arrows. Fingers crossed that captain Khune will be available for this encounter.
