Former Orlando Pirates wing-back Wayde Jooste has finally found a new club according to reports.

The 31-year-old has been unemployed since leaving the Buccaneers at the end of last season.

Despite a lengthy trial at SuperSport United, Gavin Hunt’s side opted against signing him due to ‘financial reasons’.

The tide however has turned for Jooste, who’s comeback is now complete!

According to reports, Jooste has been snapped up by Fadlu David’s Maritzburg United.

The Team of Choice will be desperately hoping Jooste’s experience helps them to avoid the dreaded drop.

Maritzburg United currently sit rock bottom of the DStv Premiership log standings as the halfway mark approaches.

Jooste isn’t the only new signing expected to be unveiled in the coming days….

“Maritzburg United are expected to announce the arrival of three new players in their attempts to beef up coach Fadlu Davids’ squad.” an SABC Sport report read.

It is understood the Team of Choice will be signing three defenders in Wayde Jooste, Kgotso Moleko and Mogamad De Goede.

”Jooste had been training with United for several weeks now, and the fact that he previously worked with Davids at Orlando Pirates for two seasons was an added advantage for a player who can be versatile where needed.”

In other news, former Orlando Pirates star winger Sifiso Myeni has dismissed rumours that he’s in a financial crisis.

The 34-year-old is currently plying his trade in Botswana’s second division for VTM.

“The money was never a factor in my move to Botswana. I have been okay financially since my last contract at TS Sporting.” – the former Orlando Pirates winger told Sowetan.

“I’ve always had a financial adviser since my early days as a professional footballer at Bidvest Wits. I didn’t care about how much I was going to get here because I love football. I’m here because I love this game.

“After leaving TS Sporting, I have never called anyone to ask for a job. That’s because I believe when people want you they must approach you and that’s what VTM boss did. I am really not desperate for anything.”
