Now, legendary Chiefs striker Shane McGregor doesn’t think his former club stands a chance against this Sundowns side that has won 11 league games in a row.

McGregor admitted that Arthur Zwane’s charges are very bad upfront even with Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana sitting on seven league goals.

And he feels Zwane is just full of excuses week in and week out instead of coming up with solutions to improve his team.

The only way Chiefs can beat Sundowns, at least according to McGregor, is for the players to give 200 percent effort on the night.

“Offensively, they are very bad,” McGregor told Sowetan.

“And the coach [Zwane] keeps making excuses [like], if they scored a penalty, if this, if that, if they didn’t make this mistake. But they are still making mistakes and he is doing nothing about it,” he said.

“For me, if they play the way they have been it’s going to be a hiding from Sundowns. Simple as that — they have got to improve 200%.”

“Defensively, they have to make major improvements. If they don’t wake up they are going to be in big trouble,” added McGregor.
