Khune still has another season with Amakhosi.
However, he is unlikely to feature much, with Peterson asserting himself as the first-choice goalkeeper. So, Khune will make a few rare appearances, but he is unlikely to be the first-choice in goal under Molefi Ntseki.

CHIEFS MANAGEMENT FOCUSED ON PETERSON
Despite Amakhosi going down 2-1 to Mamelodi Sundowns, Peterson was excellent.

Meaning, Khune will be utilised as a mentor role for Peterson and Bruce Bvuma and Karabo Molefe.

In fact, Khune was not even on the bench against Mamelodi Sundowns.
Bvuma stepped up for Khune on the bench against The Brazilians. Add this to the fact that Khune is on a reduced contract, and you can conclude that he is no longer the primary option in goal.
NEW AMAKHOSI CAPTAIN NEEDED
With Khune set to be used off the bench, Amakhosi management must appoint a new captain.
Keagan Dolly is vice-captain, but he is currently out injured. Meaning Yusuf Maart is set to captain Amakhosi in his absence. It will be interesting to see if Ntseki opts for Maart or Dolly when the latter PSL veteran is fit.
