New boss, new energy?

Cavin Johnson’s interim reign didn’t start all that well as the Glamour Boys went down 2-1 to in-form Golden Arrows. However, he’s had more time to sit with his squad and they should produce an improved showing against Cape Town Spurs next. Besides, the Mother City outfit is rock-bottom of the PSL. They did get a win over Orlando Pirates in their last match though. There’s also the very real prospect that the top brass will hire a new permanent boss in January, and all indications are that it will be a foreign appointment.

Kaizer Chiefs linked to top PSL attackers

Rumours of Khanyisa Mayo and Iqraam Rayners moving to Naturena won’t go away. Chiefs’ approach in the market has been haphazard, shall we say, with nine players joining the ranks in the most recent window. However, one of these marquee signings is sure to fire and if either Mayo or Rayners link up with the Glamour Boys, there could be reasons for optimism and even a bit of excitement.
