A Kaizer Chiefs flop has returned to his former club on a two-year deal to try and revive his career ahead of the new season.

The South African website has it confirmed that Thabani Austin Dube has rejoined Richards Bay FC following his departure from Chiefs.
As reported by this publication’s football team, Chiefs and Dube officially parted ways on Thursday morning.

Dube had not been training with Chiefs since their return for pre-season after being told to stop doing so while negotiations for his settlement were ongoing.
The 30-year-old had a year left on his contract with Chiefs but he was no longer in the technical team’s plans for the upcoming campaign.

In fact, that became evident this past season as he featured just once for Chiefs under the tutelage of Arthur Zwane.
Overall, Dube left Chiefs having played a mere 18 competitive games in the two years he spent at Naturena.

“Austin is back at Richards Bay FC. He will be announced soon. He signed a two-year deal,” a source told The South African.
