Kaizer Chiefs finally bid farewell to Kearyn Baccus

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kearyn Baccus will NOT have his contract renewed by the club when it expires at the end of June.

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kearyn Baccus will NOT have his contract renewed by the club when it expires at the end of June.

Baccus’ agent Mike Makaab had already confirmed that his client will be leaving Naturena at the end of his contract.

Now, Chiefs have confirmed that the Durban-born midfielder is ‘scheduled’ to leave them when his contract expires on 30 June.

Baccus joined Chiefs from Australian side Melbourne City in 2019, and it was Ernst Middendorp who brought him to the club.

And while he impressed in his first season with the club, the sacking of Middendorp saw him relegated to the bench by his successors.

Both Gavin Hunt and Stuart Baxter were clearly not fans of Baccus’ football as they often benched him even when the team appeared to be in need of his contribution.

Baccus leaves Chiefs with 53 competitive games and two goals under his belt, and the club wished him luck.

KAIZER CHIEFS ‘SCHEDULED’ TO PART WAYS WITH BACCUS

Chiefs is scheduled to part ways with Kearyn Baccus at the end of June. The SA-born midfielder grew up in Australia before returning home to play for Chiefs in June 2019. He appeared in 53 matches with two goals in his three seasons.
