Kaizer Chiefs face THREE stumbling blocks for Percy Tau signing!

Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be ready to bolster their attack with a marquee signing ahead of next season. 

The names of both Percy Tau and Luther Singh have been mentioned as such targets for Chiefs in that regard. 

Chiefs interested in the Bafana international

Ironically, if Chiefs are going to sign both, they’ll have to deal with Al Ahly for Tau and Singh. The Egyptian giants are currently the employers of the Lion of Judah, while they’re interested in his fellow Bafana Bafana international. The North Africans are thought to be ready to part ways with their number 10, but will demand the best possible price for his services. 

Equally so, Al Ahly are believed to be fighting Chiefs tooth and nail to secure the signature of Singh. It is thought that Amakhosi will face three big potential stumbling blocks in a potential pursuit for Tau. 

Sundowns enter Tau race?

According to Soccer-Laduma,Chiefs could face competition from either Europe or Tau’s former club Mamelodi Sundowns.

“The stumbling block could be if Sundowns are seriously interested in him again or if he wants to go to Europe. But it’s true Chiefs have inquired about Percy (Tau) just like Sundowns did in January but could not get him. So, for now it will all depend on that. Obviously it won’t be easy because we are talking about big money involved here. But Chiefs are capable of signing big name players as they have done it in the past and it worked for them. I think this could work for them as well if it happens,”said the source to the same publication.

Thirdly, this publication reported that Tau was willing to sign for Chiefs, provided they appoint his former coach Pitso Mosimane. That, in itself will be a big stumbling block when you look at the financial requirements.

Tau is thought to be at loggerheads with Al Ahly regarding his future at the club. The player keeps seeing the posts shifted with his contract offers. The latest reports suggested that the team wanted to renew his deal on no increase. That could frustrate the player straight into the arms of Chiefs or even back to Sundowns.
