Meanwhile, amidst the turmoil, 29-year-old Brandon Petersen secures a contract extension with Kaizer Chiefs until June 2026. Adding another layer of complexity to the goalkeeper dynamics. Additionally, No. 1 goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma’s impressive performance leading up to the AFCON break earned him a two-year contract extension offer. Which further reshaped the team’s goalkeeping situation.

As speculations mount and tensions rise, Itumeleng Khune finds himself entangled in a precarious situation as his contract inches towards its expiration.
