Arthur Zwane has opened up on Kaizer Chiefs’ ‘celebrations’ after drawing Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup semi-final.

The Glamour Boys were trending on social media after SuperSport TV released a video of their post draw reaction.

Chiefs were visibly pumped up after drawing their rivals, who they already beat twice before this season.

Unfortunately for Chiefs though, their rivals got the better of them this time around in their crunch Nedbank Cup semi-final.

Kaizer Chiefs coach denies overconfidence

“No, I don’t think it was overconfidence. The celebration was not about taking Pirates for granted,” the Kaizer Chiefs coach said as quoted by FarPost.

“It was more of, whoever, even if it was another team, we were still going to celebrate. But for us, it was not a celebration, to be honest. It was [like], okay, bring it on.”

In other news, four former Orlando Pirates stars are set to enjoy a mini-reunion in Botswana.

Gaborone side VTM is currently home to both Rooi Mahamutsa and Sifiso Myeni.
