Up front, changes are certainly needed. Will Jasond Gonzalez come in for the misfiring Ranga Chivaviro? Can Keagan Dolly start another game so soon after returning from a long-term injury? Christian Saile is also an option to replace Chivaviro. Although he’s not the most prolific, his intelligent forays down the right-hand side certainly free up space for other attackers to exploit. Chiefs scored just 13 goals in 13 games under Molefi Ntseki, and that’s one of the first trends Cavin Johnson will need to address. Brandon Petersen, Sifiso Hlanti and Ashley Du Preez are all still major injury doubts.

Club captain Itumeleng Khune has been on the losing side in each of the last seven DStv Premiership matches he’s started. He was also in the starting XI against AmaZulu at the weekend, a Carling Knockout clash in which Amakhosi lost to AmaZulu. Itu could well lose his place to Brandon Petersen.
