Arthur Zwane will be joined by a senior coach next season. Here are the FOUR leading candidates for the Kaizer Chiefs job.

Amakhosi management have handed Zwane a lifeline.

However, this is on the condition that he works alongside a senior coach of his choosing. So, we take a look at this prestigious list of experienced PSL veterans and top-class coaches that he could consider.

PITSO MOSIMANE – CHIEFS DREAM PICK

Every Amakhosi fan wants to see Mosimane at Naturena next season. I mean he is arguably the best coach in Africa.

So, if their is one man capable of returning Amakhosi to their glory days it’s Pitso. Jingles has won silverware with every team he has coached from SuperSport United to Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Ahly and Al Ahli. He is the epitome of senior and experienced and the perfect man to guide Zwane. To make matters even more interesting, he is likely to leave Al Ahli soon and he is open to the possibility of joining Amakhosi.

MANQOBA MNGQITHI BEING MONITERED

Mngqithi is the strongest available coach still in the PSL. Amakhosi management are considering hiring the former Sundowns co-coach.

“The Siya crew has been informed that whispers in the corridors at Naturena is that the club is considering current Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Manqoba Mngqithi,” the insider confirmed on SoccerLaduma.

Since Rhulani Mokwena is now the solo head coach, Mngqithi could consider joining Amakhosi where he will have more power and responsibility.

Furthermore, he has experience as a co-coach (alongside Mokwena) and he is very experienced having tasted tremendous success in the PSL with Mamelodi Sundowns.

CAVIN JOHNSON OFFERED TO CHIEFS

As previously reported on The South African, the experienced former Al Ahly coach was offered to Amakosi.

However, nothing has come out of that. He is another strong candidate given his vast experience at the top. However, he is less likely than Mosimane or Mngqithi to receive an offer.

BRANDON TRUTER BEING CONSIDERED BY AMAKHOSI MANAGEMENT

Truter is one of two PSL rival coaches that Amakhosi management are considering hiring.

“Chiefs have been monitoring the progress of Brandon Truter with interest. The thought of him strengthening their technical team has been bandied about. The club isn’t considering firing Arthur Zwane just yet but need someone with experience to work with him,” he said on the same publication.
