Amakhosi announce landmark partnership

“Kaizer Chiefs have joined forces with John Deere in a landmark partnership that gives Amakhosi exclusive use and maintenance services of a brand-new lawnmower, produced by the world-renowned manufacturers of agricultural machinery, heavy equipment, diesel engines and lawn care. The state-of-the-art grounds keeping device, specifically designed for the immaculate maintenance of sports fields, worth in the region of R1-million, will afford the Amakhosi players and technical staff the luxury of training on pristine pitches, in line with the Club’s world-class training facilities at the Kaizer Chiefs Village.”

In other news, 26-year-old KwaMashu-born Thabo Cdele has emerged as a target for Chiefs. He impressed in the engine room on recent COSAFA Cup squad duty with Bafana. He’s a natural, specialist holding midfielder but has box-to-box capabilities which make him a valuable asset. Amakhosi supporters around the country have been crying out for a commanding, authoritative midfield general since the departure of Njabulo Blom to St Louis City in the MLS.

Cele made 20 appearances for Radomiak last season and has earned 7 Bafana Bafana caps. He was handed his international debut by Stuart Baxter in 2017.
