Latest rumours suggest that the 28-year-old midfielder is no longer happy at the club due to lack of game time.

According to Phakaaathi, he has requested a loan move to his old club – the very same Golden Arrows they edged 2-0 courtesy of Monnapule Saleng’s brace.

Explaining his absence, Riveiro said Makhubela was unfortunate to not be selected for the matchday squad.

‘WE CANNOT TAKE EVERYONE’ – RIVEIRO ON MAKHUBELA

“Well about Neverdie [Ntsako Makhubela], well we can take only 20 players to the list, 11 to the starting 11 and five substitutions and that’s the math,” Riveiro said as quoted by KickOff.

“So we cannot take everyone. I try to take ones that we feel, or that I feel are going to help us with the game, I’ve explained this many times.

“So yes, that’s the reason. There’s no other reason.”
