Paarl United coach Edward Malunga Fiyaka has revealed why Kaizer Chiefs were his ‘preferred’ Nedbank Cup opponents.
Instead, fourth tier side Paarl United have drawn Maritzburg United in the Nedbank Cup Round of 32.
But here’s why their head coach wanted to face the mighty Amakhosi instead!

“They say in life you must aim big. I strongly wanted Kaizer Chiefs,” said Malunga on Zibonele FM as quoted by FarPost.
“The reason I say Chiefs is because if you look at the history of the Nedbank Cup, Baroka has beaten them, a small team. And I also want to put Paarl United on the map and be one of the teams to have knocked out Chiefs.”

In other news, Pitso Mosimane’s son was spotted playing for the Kaizer Chiefs Under-13 side in the Gauteng Development League.
Reatlegile Mosimane put on a superb performance for the Amakhosi juniors on Saturday morning scoring once and assisting twice against Kathorus Hyper Academy.
Chiefs development defeated their opponents 4-0 on the day and in the process booked their place in the semi-finals.
