Kaizer Chiefs stayed 10th in the DStv Premiership standings despite losing their most recent match against Richards Bay on Sunday, 21 April.

The Glamour Boys went down 1-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

The loss no doubt heaped more pressure on under fire coach Cavin Johnson.

Amakhosi have 30 points after 24 matches, and any chance of adding the league title to their trophy cabinet is dead and buried for another season.

Four home, two away matches

The dates and kick-off times of five of Kaizer Chiefs’ six remaining matches have been confirmed.

Their home clash against TS Galaxy, which was postponed due to Bafana Bafana’s late return to the country following their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) campaign, is yet to be confirmed.

Kaizer Chiefs have four home and two away matches remaining.

Three of the six matches are against teams currently ranked above them in the standings, while the other three are against teams currently below the Glamour Boys in the log.

Below are The South African website’s predictions for Kaizer Chiefs’ remaining DStv Premiership matches in the 2023/2024 season:

TBC vs TS Galaxy (H) – TBC – WIN

27 April vs SuperSport United (H) – 17:00 – DRAW

30 April vs Mamelodi Sundowns (H) – 19:30 – LOSS

11 May vs AmaZulu (A) – 17:00 – DRAW

18 May vs Polokwane City (H) – 15:00 – WIN

25 May vs Cape Town Spurs (A) – 15:00 – WIN

If we are correct, that means another 11 points will be coming Kaizer Chiefs’ way this season.

That would mean a final tally of 41 points.

While that won’t be enough to qualify for a CAF Champions League or CAF Confederations Cup spot next season, it might be sufficient to secure an MTN8 berth.
