The decision by Kaizer Chiefs to axe coach Gavin Hunt with immediate effect while still battling for the CAF Champions League title still has fans divided.

Hunt is now unemployed (not for long me thinks) while Amakhosi will turn to assistant coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard to oversee their remaining two DStv Premiership matches as well as – hopefully – their CAF Champions League semi-final and final.
During his short stint at Naturena, Gavin Hunt was in charge of 44 official matches and his record read: Won 12, drew 17, lost 15 in all competitions.

To some supporters Hunt’s sacking was justified while others believe that by being unable to sign players because of their FIFA transfer ban, the ex-Bidvest Wits mentor deserved more time at the helm.
Kaizer Chiefs’ DStv Premiership form has been woeful, with just six win in 28 matches and a current 11th place in the standings reflects their forgettable season.
In contrast, Kaizer Chiefs have rewritten their record books in terms of achievements in Africa in the CAF Champions League and will face a two-legged semi-final against Wydad Athletic Club next month.
