Gavin Hunt believes Wits need a new “muti man” after a spate of bad luck
Bidvest Wits have not had the best of luck in recent weeks, and coach Gavin Hunt says it may be time for a new muti man.

Bidvest Wits have not had the best of luck in their search for a second PSL title, and coach Gavin Hunt believes they need a bit of divine intervention.
The 2016/17 league champions had their title charge derailed once more over the weekend as an own goal from Keegan Ritchie in regulation time saw a crucial three points head the other way in the top of the table clash against Orlando Pirates.
The defeat was a fourth in their last six league matches and a sixth one at home this season, and yet another result influence by a stroke of luck that went against the Clever Boys.
Speaking after the match, Hunt joked that it could be time for a new muti man at Milpark.
“Last week we let in a corner‚ penalty and a free kick‚” he said.
“This week is a free kick and an own goal. So there are a lot of those types of goals and there’s a nothing you can do about it.

“You can’t put your finger on those things‚ we’ve just have to keep on working and maybe get a new muthi man or something.”
Saturday’s defeat saw Wits unmoved at third place with Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns tied at 44 points in first andteam second respectively.
The Clever Boys would have had a little reason to smile however, with Cape Town City unable to leapfrog them after dropping points against Lamontville Golden Arrows.
With five matches left to play, Hunt’s men will look to relaunch their title challenge as they turn their attention to the relegation-threatened Chippa United, who knocked them out of the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals at the end of March.
