FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS STAR NGEZANA WANTED IN FRANCE

27-year-old Siyabonga Ngezana joined the Romanian giants FCSB from Kaizer Chiefs at the start of this campaign for roughly €600,000. Now, his new side could already be entertaining ideas of moving him on for a massive profit.

FC Lorient are among the suitors for Ngezana’s signature and Becali won’t stand in his way, at least until they wrap up the domestic title.

“No, they asked me how much [he] costs but I didn’t say a penny now,” he said on the Fanatik SuperLiga show.

“It’s a team from France, but they don’t make prices on players before the championship is over. At least let the transfer period come. Any player with me is for sale.

“Ngezana and Vasilescu and Georgescu and Ionescu and Popescu. Everyone, anyone is for sale at the right price.”

With Lorient focused on strengthening their group for a potential relegation battle in Ligue 1, they could make a move in January. FCSB will hold out for €6 million, judging by the words of their president.

Ngezana’s sell-on clause could see Amakhosi laughing

FCSB owner Gigi Becali has insisted that he won’t sell Ngezana for anything less than €6m which is roughly R122 million, with rumoured interest from France’s Ligue 1. With a reported 10% sell-on clause inserted into his FCSB contract, Chiefs could earn north of R12 million more should Ngezana move anywhere for that alleged fee. Ngezana has a goal and an assist from 13 appearances for his new club to date.
