FCSB owner criticises Ngezana’s technique

Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB who isn’t exactly a shrinking violet when it comes to making claims and expressing opinions, has made a frank statement regarding Siyabonga Ngezana.

“Ask opposing players how they feel playing Ngezana and Dawa, These are panthers. No one can bow their head in front of them. If they also had technique, they were €70 – €80 million.” Said Becali to Digi Sport.

Ngezana was reportedly the subject of a €5m million offer from French Ligue 1 strugglers Lorient in January. They saw the former Kaizer Chiefs man as an option to help them stave off relegation in France. However, FCSB turned down their offer.

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Khanye isn’t a Bafana believer

Ex-Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye believes Bafana were lucky to win through to Wednesday’s AFCON semi-final after their tense penalty shootout win over Cape Verde.

“We have to be realistic, we were not at our best. We didn’t play well and could have lost that game. But, luckily, we were very lucky. And listen, I’m saying we were very lucky, but we also need to give to Ronwen Williams (some credit). He was the star of the show and saved those penalties very well, we have to give credit to him for that,” Khanye told iDiski Times TV.
