Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mduduzi Shabalala insists his side will leave their talking for the field of play when they face Chippa United this weekend.

Chippa United head coach Morgan Mammila has been stealing the headlines for emphatic comments aimed at the Glamour Boys.

Mammila has lavishly claimed that Molefi Ntseki’s side are ‘easy’ to beat.

His comments however are not phasing the Glamour Boys according to Shabalala.

“They have been saying a lot of things about us. But we just want to go out there and express ourselves with positive energy and willingness to fight for the team,” Shabalala told Citizen.

“They are a good side, with some very good players, so we are expecting a tough contest. The first game is very important for us to boost confidence. We play Sundowns in our second game and we want to go into that match with three points in the bag.”

His former coach Nhlanhla Vilakazi has since opened on losing his star man.

“Psychologically, he is definitely strong. He is a very strong somebody. I know that when he was playing for us, in the last six months everyone was saying ‘Pule must stay on the side’ because he is leaving the club. But he still played his part, so he is strong mentally and I am sure he will do wonders for Kaizer Chiefs.” Vilakazi told members of the media.
