Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabili says he has not received offers from any club since his impressive performance at the 2023 African Cup of Nations(Afcon)

Nwabili helped the Super Eagles of Nigeria reach the final and kept four clean sheets in the process.

The 27-year-old keeper missed out on the Golden Glove to Bafana Bafana captain Ronwen Williams, who had five clean sheets.

Since the Afcon concluded, several reports linked the keeper with a move away from Chippa.

Nigeria keeper and Chiefs target warned not to return to Mzansi

“I only see offers for me online, to be honest, I only see offers online, and some of my friends take screenshots, send them to me and say that offer is coming,” said Nwabili as per FARPost.

“But to be honest, I’ve never seen offers on my table, but you know when there are rumours, I wish all the rumours to come to pass.”

After helping Nigeria to overcome Bafana in the semi-finals, Nigerian media advised the keeper not to return to South Africa due to threats, however, Nwabili brushed the rumours aside.

Nwabili also thanked his club chairman, Chippa Mpengesi for supporting him and Nigeria during the Afcon tournament.

“The chairman gave me a lot of reasons to work at Afcon because he sent me a lot of messages and even wished me well ahead of his own country.

“It’s something I didn’t believe; I asked myself why this man would do such a thing. I really appreciate him, and to be honest, I owe him a lot; people are saying Stanley must leave Chippa. I wish to work for him for another two years, but I don’t think that wish will come,” Nwabili added.
