Cape Town City boss confident new DDC signing can go to Barca

Remember the name, Emile Witbooi, the son of former Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Surprise Ralani.

Cape Town City boss John Comitis is confident that Emile Witbooi can easily go to Europe and play for Barcelona given his talent.

Witbooi, 15, joined the Citizens from Transnet School of Excellence in January, and he’s already proven to be a marvel to watch.

He is currently mesmerising opposition defenders in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC), and while Comitis doesn’t want to talk about youngsters, he feels Witbooi is quality.

Witbooi is a son of former Cape Town City and Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Surprise Ralani, and he’s certainly taken after his father.

CAPE TOWN CITY BOSS WANTS TO SEE WITBOOI AT BARCELONA

“I don’t like talking up young players. The last time I did it was with Steven Pienaar and Thulani Serero” said Comitis in an interview with Thabiso Mosia on Radio2000.

“But this kid Emile Witbooi is special. What I’ve seen is unbelievable. He must go to Europe soon. He can go to Barcelona,” he added.
