RUMOURS: Some good transfer news for Amakhosi fans?

Caleb staying put at Naturena?

It was widely expected that the Burundian striker was going to be allowed to leave Chiefs before the start of the new DStv Premiership season. The 25-year-old was placed up for sale and attracted foreign interest from Poland and Morocco, with Wydad Casablanca bidding R3-million and sealing a verbal agreement. Bimenyimana was in Casablanca to negotiate personal terms last Sunday but returned this week after the appointment of new head coach Adil Ramzi seemingly changed their stance.

This via Lorenz Kohler of iDiski Times. That publication understands Bouly Sambou rejected a move to the UAE Pro League which had a domino effect on their move for Bimenyimana.

Caeb in Ntseki’s Kaizer Chiefs plans

“Caleb [Bimenyimana] is with us now, we were just training today, he’s with us,” said Ntseki, when asked about his return by iDiski Times.

“We wish him all the best of luck as a Kaizer Chiefs player. Hopefully, he will turn things around this season.”

Bimenyimana scored eight goals last season and returned to training on Wednesday, the day of the club’s Kappa kit launch.

Bimenyimana remains key for Burundi

Caleb is still a key cog for the Burundi Swallows, who recently beat Peter Shalulile’s Namibia in a key AFCON qualifier. Bimenyimana scored and assisted in that game. He’ll be hoping he can replicate that form for the Glamour Boys when the new season rolls around.
