The Burundi international striker had been believed to be close to joining Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca. It was thought that a deal had already been agreed by the two clubs, with just the personal terms now outstanding, on the player’s side. That move has since collapsed, with the new coach seemingly not fancing Bimenyimana , and Molefi Ntseki confirming his return. With yesterday’s news, it was expected that he would stay and face more competition from an incoming Mhango. But speaking to SuperSport TV, Chiefs team manager Bobby Motaung moved quickly to quash the rumours.

Chiefs not interested in ex-Pirates star Mhango

“I don’t have the names at the moment. Kaizer Junior has the names (of the players they are looking to bring on). I deal with the issues of the whole (Chiefs)  team and not individuals… But not Gabadinho. We are looking to beef up the striking department because we already have a few injuries in that department. But not Gabadinho.” Said Motaung.
