Having sacked as Kaizer Chiefs head coach end of last season, Arthur Zwane has found a new role at the club.

The 40-year-old is now back in Chiefs’ youth structures, overseeing the development coaches and also monitoring the progress of the players.

Before getting demoted, the former Amakhosi winger served as the club’s head coach for the 2022/23 season.

Zwane failed to take Chiefs to the next level and was eventually removed from his position after the club finished fifth last season.

Speaking to iDiski Times, the Amakhosi legend said he was happy with his new role at the club.

“Yes it’s very, very key. Remember I was once part and parcel of this group. It did not need a rocket scientist for me to adapt in terms of adaptation,” Zwane told iDiski Times.

“These are the people that I worked with for many, many years. And also, I would always have a passion for the game because I’m a student of the game.

“Most importantly is to impart my knowledge to the upcoming youngsters and also the coaches who want to grow like Coach Tshidiso [Letsholonyane], coach [Mohamed] Bhamjee, coach [Jimmy] Jambo, actually all the coaches in the development ranks at the club,” said the Kaizer Chiefs legend.

Giving more details on his role, Zwane said he aimed to help coaches to improve.

“It’s my role for now to encourage the coaches in the development at the club, to look at where we’re lacking and try to fix it as soon as possible,” he said.
